A Bright Smile from Ramkot
In the peaceful village of Ramkot, Kathmandu, a cheerful 12-year-old girl named Bindu Baram is quietly growing into a bright future. Originally from the remote hills of Gorkha, Bindu moved here with her parents and younger brother Bishal, seeking better opportunities and a more stable life.
Strong Roots, Strong Family
Bindu’s parents work tirelessly as daily-waged farmers, doing their best to provide for their children. Life isn’t easy, and financial challenges are constant. But the Baram family stays strong together, supporting one another with warmth and resilience.
This month, we’re happy to share that Bindu, Bishal, and both parents are in good health, continuing to move forward as a hopeful family unit.
Learning with Love
Bindu attends school regularly and shines at the Indra New Hope Class (NHC). Her kindness, discipline, and eagerness to learn have earned the praise of both her teachers and our volunteers.
Her little brother Bishal joins her at school, and the two are inseparable—not just siblings, but best friends who support each other every step of the way.
A Simple Wish: A School Bag
Despite her enthusiasm and potential, Bindu’s family cannot afford basic school supplies. Right now, her biggest wish is a school bag—something to carry her books, homework, and hope as she walks to school each day.
It's a small request, but it holds big meaning in her heart. She dreams of continuing her education and building a better future with the right support.
🌱 Let’s Help Her Bloom
At Dikshya Foundation, we believe in nurturing every child’s potential—just like little flowers blooming in caring soil. Bindu is one of many children at Indra NHC who remind us that hope grows strongest when shared.
